My very first costume was Sailor Moon. I made it while home sick with the flu when I was 11 years old, and decided that since Halloween was still almost 9 months away, I'd have my 12th birthday party be a costume party, since that was only about a month away. My parents bought me the fabric and the gloves were from my aunt's wedding, and I used my Sailor Moon toys as props. When I went back and looked at these pictures after not seeing them for awhile, I was surprised that my first time wearing this, I got my hair into the buns.

Construction Notes:
This costume was stiched together by hand, and done completely without a pattern. The peices were safety pinned to the tank top or body suit (depending when I was wearing it) and the glove cuffs were the tops of old Christmas socks that I had cut off.
Favorite Aspect:
That I did this all by myself and without a pattern at 11 years old.
Least Favorite Aspect:

Technically, it's overall construction, but considering my age, I actually think it's pretty good. It's too nostalgic to have a true least favorite aspect.
