When Otakon 2005 was coming around, I decided I wanted to finally remake my Super Sailor Moon costume, but with a twist. I wanted to take a route that is far less taken, and I did it manga styled, or modeled after the design for the comic book. However, I was also working on my Princess Serenity costume that ended up more time consuming that I thought, and combined with the massive amounts of work needed to be done on this costume, I put it aside. Katsucon 12 was suddenly approaching, and I figured I had another chance to debut it, and it was finished in time and debuted the Saturday of that convention.
