Convention:

Ohayocon is easily becoming my favorite convention. There's plenty of events to attend, and the convention space provides ample room for lots of people. There are still a few kinks on the technical end. Pre-registered badges can't be picked up on Thursday, and the schedules are usually released last minute. However, these are easily forgetable once the convention starts going. The dealers room was also very large this year, with plenty of room for browsing.

Location & Hotel:

Ohayocon is held in Columbus, Ohio and the Greater Columbus Convention Center and Hyatt Regency Hotel. The convention center is very large and has many places to gather with friends. There is also a food court right in the convention center, and many of the places even stay open late for the convention. In 2008, we stayed at the Drury Inn, which also connects to the convention center. I personally rate the Drury as much nicer than the Hyatt, which we stayed at in 2007. The rate was lower, the room came with a fridge that we could use, and they provided complimentary snacks and drinks in the evening, with a breakfast in the morning. The rooms are spacious, and the beds were comfy.

At Ohayocon 2008, I didn't do any true photoshoots. Instead, I hung out a lot at the Deathcom.net booth, and got pictures of each costume I wore. A few of them did get quite a few pictures taken, but were not a true photoshoot. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the whole crew, and I enjoyed sitting around the booth with them.
